By the time I went to the outfitter, played with my pack, I was sucked in to another dAy in town. It was rainy and I couldn't bring myself to leave.
Bluff mountain outfitters
I made a couple of gear / food changes at the outfitter, got a new water filter, cheese, sausage and swapped out my insoles. I left my old ones "superfeet" in the hiker bin. Really good outfitter and knowledgeable staff.
Sunnybank inn
I stayed the night at elmers place, which is one of those "legendary hostels" everyone stAys at. I wasn't too impressed, but everyone around me liked it. I spent almost half the day reading, all these hostels are armed with many spiritual / nature writing books. Funny thing is I was bunked with Utah, who has been elusive most of the weekend.
Trail name
I left hot springs with a a trail name. Last night in town at paddlers pub, we were sitting around, drinking and I was introduced to some hikers by Utah as "Russian bear", so it stuck.
