NOC

Got to the NOC around 3p on sat. Took my Second 0 day (Sunday). Nice to get a shower and laundry and to sleep in a bunk.

Great place, my first time here; they have a great retaurant, rafting, Mtn biking, fishing, hostels, cabins, outfitter, etc. Good place to hang for a few days.

While there I took a couple of rafting trips down the river. Jumped the nantahala falls twice.

Got the shoulder pads and radio that I ordered in Franklin. It made a huge difference with my pack and I will now receive the weatherband.

Sunday night was a nasty storm, I'm glad I stayed at the hostel that night.

On to Fontana dam, should be a nasty climb coming out of here. Only 29 miles from the smokies!
