Amsterdam, the last town of the trip, we drove in from Bruges around 4pm on Sunday and checked into our airbnb apartment. Dom is leaving Tuesday morning, Jen is leaving Wednesday morning and I am leaving Saturday afternoon. The trip is sadly coming to an end.
Walking outside of our bnb, I saw a glimpse of the first coffee shop, "happiness", these places are everywhere. The plan on Sunday was to drop off the car and see a live sex show at Casa Rosso. After driving to the airport, we found that we were missing the spare key! Not a huge deal, but the key is a 600euro replacement cost. So, instead of dropping off the car, we went back to the apartment to look for the key, we did not find it, so that this did not ruin our evening, we ended up parking the car and heading to a sex show anyways...

Coffeeshop Happiness
The first time, I walked through the red light district (RLD), the place was surreal, the weed coffee shops and prostitutes were everywhere. Definitely a new meaning to the term window shopping, the three of us were very surprised by how hot the girls in the windows were. Live sex show was not as raunchy as I expected (I think you have to go to the #3 or #4 shows in town, like Banana bar or something), but it was as advertised, real couples have sex and you watch, like a live porno. While I thought it was awesome, watching the perverted audience was a lot more entertaining than watching the live act. Wrapping up a fun first night, we headed back to the house...
The next day after working the phones, it turns out that the key should be covered by our bumper to bumper insurance, so we said screw it and returned the car anyway, the fact that the people picking up the car were not aware of that (different companies), was really frustrating and a disjointed customer experience! Overall, if you are zipping around Europe for an extended period of time, our rental was THE WAY TO GO.
We continued our day strolling through the RLD, making our way to the Anne Frank house, the final stop on the WWII and holocaust tour. Brewpub, late night.

Brouwerij'Tij Brewpub
On Tuesday Dom headed to the airport and left for home, since I had the rest of the week there, I just chilled out. I needed a place to stay after Jen left, wanted to do some work and get back into the flow of things, so it was a day to chill. Later in the night Jen and I went to dinner by the house under the big red mushroom, it was delicious, but after dessert I really started to feel bloated and boozed out, my sluggishness is slowly catching up to me. Wednesday after Jen left, I moved over to my new spot in to the De Pijp district, which was perfect, it was the perfect area, around all the museums and convenient to town.
