Wednesday 5-5

It's 13 miles to Fontana and I have a package waiting there. I want to get as close to the road as possible so that I can leap out in the morning andcatch a shuttle into Fontana village to restock and do laundry.

It's 7 pm, I'm about 10-11 miles in for the day and could not find a camp spot, if I go to the road and shuttle isn't operating, I'll have to hike another 2 miles to the Fontana " Hilton " shelter. It's one of the nicer shelters on the AT, has a shower and bathrooms next to it.

I got to the road at 810pm and was hurting. I called the shuttle and miraculously they picked me up within 20 minutes.
