Damascus

Damascus is definitely the friendliest town on the trail, not that I needed more reasons to get stuck in towns. Finally got my hands on superfeet, my feet will breathe a sigh of relief. I stayed at a b and b in town, Montgomery homestead. I had the house to myself for the few days and was able to catch up on some basketball finals.

Quincey's...

Is the local watering hole, it's where hikers hang out and some stay for a lifetime. It was a fun few nights hanging out w fellow hikers, drinking and playing darts. The panda darts must have given me some luck, bc I couldn't miss.

The place...

Is a donation based hiker hostel provided by the Damascus Methodist church. Interesting spot. Damascus is not only a destination for AT hikers but also bikers riding the Transamerica bike trail, going from VA to Oregon. 3 months on a road bike. It was fun to hear stories from the bikers and their experiences compared to ours.
