The camp spot was a fishing destination on the river and they had trout bridges going over the creek, I was able to set up my tent right on the trout bridge. Around 6pm or so, the workers that worked on the creeper trail bridges left to go home. Gumby a homeless man, who lives in the woods stopped by my campsite; he lives in the woods in his van w/ 3 dogs. He was kind enough to give me some beers and fire starter. That gesture was definitely moving, how someone who doesn’t have much is willing to give you what he's got.
The night on the trout bridge was peaceful and I sat out, outside my tent on the river until 1-2am. In many ways , this felt like the last night. I thought about all the experiences on the trip, the people I met, what the trip meant, etc, etc. This was a magic night on the trail.
