Next morning, not 20 minutes out of the shelter, it started raining hard, unfortuanrtly i was going over more balds. Between the hard rain and strong winds, I was hoping to walk through some woods again for a shield. I was so wet that my feet were sloshing around and I was completely soaked. On the other side of the mountain, I had to go down a rocky slope, I fell a couple of times and bent my trekking pole.

When I got to the hwy (19-e), I got a room w a jacuzzi tub in it, dried up, showered and resupplied there.
