- The metro pass where you buy the card for 5 euro Navigo, then pay 20 euro mon-sund for unlimited zone 4 travel is the best!!
- Photo museum in St Paul is overrated
- Absinthe is just overpriced liquor (the search for the hallucinogenic absinthe continues)
- I could spend another week in Paris / France and not run out of things to do. Some items for next time 1. Louvre 2. Bike tour around Paris 3. Month St Michelle 4. Grave yard where Morisson is burried 5. Louire region
- The best neighborhoods are off the beaten path (Straussberg, St Dennis, etc) (This is probably obvious, but hard to find)
- French cuisine is non existent, so the best food is on the outskirts in shady foreign neighborhoods
- Latin Quarter is overrated and quite lame
- Moose (around latin quarter) is a great american bar to watch NFL, eat wings and drink Bud Light
- I have to absorb all the art I have in Atl abd surrounding areas, no excuse! I have NY ,CA, etc. need to get with the program.
- I love my cousin to death and knowing how difficult I am, he is a great personality fit for me, older I get more I realize how hard it is to find people that can manage you. Travelling with him is a pleasure :-) Even if he overcommits to a falafel sometime
- This weatheris perfect for France! not toohot, not too cold
- Bayoux (Normandy), Versailles, Champagne seem like they are not worth spending the night at, day trips from Paris seem perfect
- WHile it lacks the shock of seeing things from BC to 1300s; most things we saw were 1400-now; France was central to the regions history during that time frame, in terms of influence, conflicts and art
- The liberal nature of the people attracted the most talented artists that were not welcome in other areas (African American Jazz musicians leaving the US in the 20's, bc France was more progressive as an example) a lot of influential artists have passed through France and left a mark, its facinating to watch the human evolution of art across various decades
- Napoleon is virtually erased from history
- Theres a piano for public consumption in airports, train stations, etc
- Buy your train tix online (not metro, train), much cheaper
- Eiffel Tower is overrated
- Mont mart area, pigalle (pig alley / red light district) is worth a visit (esp the church at the top), really cool area!
