The shape and purpose of my blog is evolving, i want to share my thoughts on the topic. Like evolution of the art movement (slide 2), I am evolving as a "artist" (or whatever you call this). This blog is moving from a journal setup to an "experience" one. It will still embody the spirit of adventure, but through a slightly different lense.
The beginning
I started my blog to document my AT hike in 2010, at the time, I didnt know what I wanted to convey or how, nor did I know how the hike was going to change my life. The beginnings were humble, an iphone 3, and served as a journal, words to explain my low res pictures. My blog read like a journal, more served to share facts and helpful information for people who wanted to undertake similar adventures.
When I returned, I continued to press forward, writing about forays into other adventures, BWCA trip, triathlon, etc, etc.
Sharing (or maybe oversharing)
With one post around my birthday, I showed a more human side of me, where I shared probably one of the more personal things about my life. I cant read that entry without tearing up and going back to that weekend.
After my trip to Versailles, you started to see some of my personality popping in, as I experienced the history of Versailles and France. You see more political opinion and some "judgement", good or otherwise.
Media
The evolution of media in my writing will also start becoming evident as I will evolve from a single phone camera to the acquisition of my GoPro, and trying to get a 360 view of collecting media from people that undertake these journeys with me.
Moving Forward

Moving Forward
- I want to share my "experiences" with people - I want to add how an event changed me, or how I interpreted it or how it made me grow
- Providing useful tips that I learn along the way (not too much as I think the Internet is filled with this), but something that maybe a little more raw and unique
- Adding more value to the Internet on a single topic that I think the internet lacks, the complete exploration of the Cohutta WIlderness. (Hiking, Biking, Jeeping, and everything else involved with my favorite GA exploration ground)
I hope you enjoy this blog as much as I do, and I look forward to your participation in the comments, so that this becomes the community for Adventurers like us!!!
