Eventures Jackson Hole 2014 Trip

Quick summary: Jackson Hole, originally called Jackson's Hole, is a valley located in the U.S. state of Wyoming, near the western border with Idaho. The name "hole" derives from language used by early trappers or mountain men, who primarily entered the valley from the north and east and had to descend along relatively steep slopes, giving the sensation of entering a hole. These low-lying valleys are surrounded by mountains and contain rivers and streams, which were good habitat for beaver and other fur-bearing animals. Jackson hole is technically Jackson, WY (theres no city called Jackson hole). It is outlined by the Grand Teton mountain range (which is where you ski). 30 minutes from the airport is the ski resort. We had a fun group that went 7 people (Harry, Laura, Justin, Brian, Dmitriy, Tom and myself)

From Jackson Hole 2014

1. If you are skiing, stay at the Jackson Hole resort, there are two ski areas to note (Jackson hole and Grand Targhee), you want to be in JH. GT has specials for the day that include transportation, lift tix, etc. So if you feel like you must ski GT, you can still stay where all the fun is

2. We had a group of 7 people and stayed in the condos, here was our unit  http://www.vrbo.com/331597 . Great place, great view, hot tub walking distance from there, full kitchen, etc. Recommend for large groups and recommend smaller groups staying there too

3. Shuttle to and fro airport to the resort is good if you have one or two people. If you have more, get a taxi, if you get him, I recommend Adam @ this # 208-874-3043. He is a good guy, entertaining and will show your group a good time, while explaining the area

4. The Mangy Moose is the local bar, must visit. Make sure to do a shotski!!

5. You are close to Yellowstone, so if you've never been, this could be the time to visit old faithful geyser

6. This place looks even more fun in the summer, as everything blooms (their most popular time of year)
