Woke up at the campsite with my German friends. I let Tara out of the tent, then dosed back off, when I woke up I couldn't find her. Finally found her hanging out with some kids in the parking lot. Today is a really short day (6 mi), so I am taking my time. While getting ready Stefan and I finish off last nights beer and I work up a buzz for my hike, this may be my first time hiking under the influence. Today is an easy going day, nice weather, good view, good conversation, the day is just flowing. Resupplied and showered at the camp-store, said goodbye to my new friends and headed north. Really nice views through the Shenandoah, tough hike, but short, coming into a camp Tara and I are finding our groove. At pinefield hut, I met some guys with a church group from Indiana, doing a small section hike.
